Y'know, I'm kinda proud of myself! I've been keeping my nose to the ground and picking up on a lot of the most talked about and exciting matches from this past month. Moreso than usual! I think I've watched just about every really noteworthy match that happened this month! Well, noteworthy to me and my tastes, at the very least! 

So, let's check out one more noteworthy match from March, yeah? Round the third month of the year off with a certified, bona-fide banger.

 We're back again with another spin of the wheel to find out what the RNG gods drop on our lap for the week! As these weeks chug along, I'm realizing that I need to add some more wrestling from across the globe to my master spreadsheet of nearly 3000 matches. The only problem is, I've watched a lot of them over the past 2 years of writing, and haven't done a lot of updating. So I'll need to put a bit of time into adding new stuff. 

Regardless, we've got some great matches this week! Let's see what got spun up!

What's the story, bingers of bodyslam burlesque?

This is a bit of a unique post this week. A double feature retirement/goodbye show that I wasn't aware of until it was already over. I felt it was fitting to give it some time this week, so it was decided very early on that, regardless of match quality, this would be my review piece for the week.

Thankfully, the match was more than excellent.

An action packed week of wrestling from across the globe! I was digging into the last few shows in the DPW library on my Twitch stream, catching up on an exciting CMLL show, as well as AEW's weekly offerings! Grand Slam Australia was a PPV worthy show! Dynamite was exceptional! Not a bad match this week!

Matches of the Month - January 2026

Welcome back folks to another edition of Matches of the Month! I'll be shaking up the format a touch here for the start of the new year, as after running my "Match of the Year" tournament for 2025, I can't help but feel I should be a bit more particular about what I consider in these posts each month. Let me break it down real quick.

In the sidebar of the blog, I will continue to make not of matches I have watched in the month and if they are under consideration as a "Match of the Month" contender. These can be matches from any time, they don't need to be specifically from this month.

But going forward, I will separate the matches from this month specifically and historic/later matches I watched this month. This may not matter to some, but I will be carrying this over to when I make my choices for a match of the year. I will clarify this in my first post next week, but I will only be considering matches that took place in the calendar year for Match of the Year going forward. Makes sense, yeah?

So, you can read about the matches from this month specifically in the first half of this post, and the "historic" matches will be listed in the final half of this post.

Welcome, one and all, to the finals of the 2025 Match of the Year tournament!

What a year 2025 was. Packed to the gills with exciting matches, if you were willing to look for them, that is.  Not one of the best years, when you really get into the weeds, but plenty of quality wrestling out there for you to enjoy if you keep your nose to the ground, find a promotion you enjoy, and remember, you don't need to watch something if you don't enjoy it. Pretty crazy concept, eh? Who'd have thought?

December proved to be an exciting month of wrestling, with AEW's Continental Classic dominating my viewing, and the quality of wrestling getting better almost episode by episode.

 Happy New Year wrestling fans!

Wow, would ya look at that? 2025 is already behind us. What a year it was, eh?

It was certainly a year for me, both good and bad, but I've decided to highlight the good here and remember 2025 for what it was. My first, full-calendar year with the Wrestling Vault. I made a lot of changes to how I work and write and I think that I've laid a solid foundation for the blog for next year. 

But, let's not get too ahead of ourselves here, let's take a peek at what 2025 looked like, yeah?
