What's the story wrestling fans?!
Welcome to March! Man, does it feel good to look outside my window and see some green grass poking up through the horrible white stuff. I feel like we're gonna make it, like this dreary season is almost behind us. I'm starting to get some drive and desire back after weeks of feeling terrible. Bring on the sun!
This is a pretty big week in wrestling for the major companies. Elimination Chamber is in the rear view and Revolution is set for tonight (at time of publishing). The Chamber was... a show, I'll go deeper into what I mean by that in my weekly roundup, and Revolution's card has me well hyped. My week got ate up unexpectedly at the eleventh hour but luckily I watched some noteworthy matches on the weekend that are absolutely worth talking about!
Let's get into those, shall we?
Weekly Roundup
Here's what I watched for the week;
WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 - Toronto
Y'know, I think after this show, I'm starting to realize that the WWE style really isn't for me anymore. I really didn't enjoy this show a whole lot, but it seems that most everyone else did. It's shows like these where my opinion differs so much from the general consensus that I start to realize that it may not be for me anymore. Let me give a quick rundown as to why.
The women's Chamber was up first with Naomi and Liv in the ring first. Jade Cargill makes her return and beats the snot out of Naomi. Belair is in her pod and is losing her shit, almost on the verge of a full on breakdown as Naomi gets stretchered out. Bliss was my pick to win and she got taken out by Liv, oh well. Belair whipped Liv with her hair and it literally sounded like a whip. Belair got the win after pinning Liv so she'll be challenging for the WWE Women's World Title at Mania. Fine, not great, just fine.
Stratton and Stratus beat Jax and LeRae in a pretty eh tag match. It's your usual stuff, with Jax bullying around Stratus and getting basic heat, LeRae puts some real work in this match but she's not able to make much out of this one. The Strat-sisters win. I really don't have a lot to say about this one.
Now this match, Kevin Owens an Sami Zayn, I have a lot to say. So, the deal here is these two want a fight, not really a match, but a fight. Nobody will sanction it because they know how violent it could get, fair enough, so they make it an unsanctioned match. Great! Go all out! And to their credit, they kinda did! In the crowd, ringside with big bumps, table breaks, weapon shots galore, everything you could expect from a match like this! They even had a barbed wire covered chair! Brutal! But... where was the blood? An unsanctioned match with no blood? Sure, it's not a requirement, Gargano vs. Ciampa in New Orleans had not a drop of blood in it's still my favourite match of all time, but the extra colour could have added another level to this match. What really bothered me about this match, however, is the fact that an unsanctioned match, a match where the company is absolving themselves of any and all blame if these two are to kill each other, is full of spots where referees and backstage personnel, let alone commentary, are begging these guys to stop. LET. THEM. FIGHT. I enjoyed the match, I did, but I refuse to consider it a match of the year candidate when they can't help have all these extra story beats in a match that shouldn't have any of them. Maybe I'm just out of touch.
Men's chamber was great, I enjoyed it. Cena winning was a given, even if watching him wrestling in 2025 is like watching your cousin who's really into wrestling decides to imitate Cena on the trampoline with his friend who really doesn't care about wrestling all too much. Everyone was really good and wove some nice story elements throughout that kept things in the air as far as rematches down the line and what Wrestlemania could look like.
The ending is where everyone is going fucking gaga, and I totally get it. Cena is a heel now. First time since he was the Thug Doctor during his first year, the face of the WWE has gone bad. I loved it, and really didn't see it coming until the last second. So well done. I'm kinda sick of seeing The Rock all the time, doing whatever he can to insert himself into the main event angles at all times, but he was fine here. Don't know what Travis Scott was doing aside from coming out to his atrocity of a song (can't wait to hear that for two whole days this April!) and bursting Cody's eardrum. Let's see where this goes in the coming weeks, still looking forward to the Cody/Cena match, especially with this added wrinkle.
FTR vs. The Undisputed Kingdom - AEW Collision - 03/01/2025
![]() |
An Undisputed Revival of two great teams! AEW |
Boy, this feels like a blast from the past eh? Commentary was quick to point out that the last time Undisputed Era and The Reviv- oh wait, wrong company, FTR and UK faced off was 7 years ago, with Roddy and Kyle-O not teaming up together for nearly 6 years. That's a crazy number, quite frankly. We're a couple years removed from when FTR was lording over tag team wrestling in 2022 in one of the best calendar years for anyone in wrestling, and an entire pandemic and multiple rebrands have come and gone since the Era of the Undisputed. Needless to say, this feels like a kinda fresh match, with these teams squaring off against each other only once on NXT (the 2 other matches were house shows, non-canon brother.)
Cash and Strong start out in the ring together, feeling each other out with arm wringers and quick pinfall attempts to try and catch the other off guard. Strong gets Cash down with a side headlock and is able to keep control as they rise to their feet, with Cash shooting Strong off the ropes and eating a shoulder tackle that flattens him. A second shoulder tackle drops Cash but when Strong gets greedy and goes for a third, Cash is prepared and takes him over with an arm drag. Strong lands flat and pushes himself back to his corner, glaring at Cash as he stands confidently in his own corner, both men waiting for the other to make a move.
Strong tags in Kyle but Cash opts to stay in, circling out of his corner as Kyle drops into a fighting stance. Cash moves in quickly and snatches the left arm of Kyle out of his guard, wringing it around and pulling him to Dax, making the tag as Cash relinquishes hold of the wrist to his partner. Dax gets backed into the corner and they're slow to break, almost a clean one until Kyle decides to get a shot in at the last second, kicking Dax across the chest. With furious indignation, Dax cracks Kyle with a chop across the chest and it echoes through the arena.
Kyle catches Dax with a knee to the gut as he rebounds off the ropes, getting him in a standing clinch and driving Dax into his own corner with more knees. He tags Roddy in and they tee off on the chest of Dax with back and forth kicks and chops, but their offensive flurry is short lived as Dax comes alive, chopping Kyle back and catching Roddy under the chin with a quick jab, chopping him across the ring and tagging in Cash as he shoots Roddy off the ropes.
With Roddy leapfrogging over Dax, Cash springboards over the top rope and takes him down with a big shoulder tackle, dropkicking Kyle out of the ring after Dax lands a reverse atomic drop that holds him in place. It's always, always amazing to see how well tag teams work together, like a single unit, FTR are the absolute best when it comes to two human beings operating as one. It's magic.

Watch for the shoe! AEW |
Dax removes himself from the ring as Cash delivers a basement dropkick to Roddy as he moves toward the apron to try and get back in. Cash tries to deliver a tornado DDT to Strong using the barricade but Strong stays on his feet, shoving Cash into the apron as Kyle charges off with a knee strike (allegedly, the camera didn't pick it up but Tony Schiavone lets us know. Thanks Tony!). It didn't take long, but Strong has started targeting the back of Cash as he uses the apron to make his backdrop about 50 times more punishing. Strong rolls Cash in the ring and goes for the cover, but Cash is out just after one and gets taken to the UK's corner.
With Kyle-O tagged in, he takes Cash to the centre and focuses in on the damage done by Strong before, opening him up with an abdominal stretch. Cash is still pretty fresh and starts to fight out, but Kyle releases the hold and drives him with a knee, keeping control as he shoots him into the ropes. Kyle goes for a kick off the rebound but Cash slides under the leg, standing only to grant himself that extra body length of distance as he falls back to his own corner, tagging Dax as he timbers to the canvas.
With Dax all alone, he tees off on O'Reilly with short jabs as Strong climbs into help his partner. It proves to be an error, as Dax stuns Strong with a shot to the jaw as he pulls Kyle in for a snap suplex, doing the same to Strong, taking him over and drilling him into the gut of his partner. With Kyle and Dax alone in the ring, he tries to roll O'Reilly up for a tight pin off a rope rebound, but he escapes quickly and backs into a neutral corner.

One motherfucker into another motherfucker. AEW |
Leathering O'Reilly with chops and punches as he stands there defenceless, Strong charges in and tries to pull Dax away from his partner but eats a short arm lariat for his troubles. Dax tries to pull Kyle out and give him one as well, but Kyle ducks the shot and lands a kick on the hamstring of Dax. He snatches the leg as Dax grabs at the point of contact, O'Reilly trying to use it as a way to regain control. But Dax is too crafty, stuffing the head of O'Reilly in and driving him head first with a piledriver! He floats over for a pin and gets the three... or does he?

Or maybe not brother. AEW |
Rising up to celebrate their quick win, Dax glances to the left and notices Kyle's foot on the bottom rope, hesitating as referee Stephon Smith goes to raise his hand. They both notice the foot on the bottom rope at the same time and Dax flat out refuses to accept the win with it seemingly being contested like this. Smith is telling Dax the count was made and they are the winners, but FTR don't want to win that way. A couple seconds later, a picture in picture from a different angle shows that Kyle did get his foot on the rope before the count of three, thereby breaking the fall. Now, normally, a referee's decision is final. There's been plenty of instances where the referee doesn't notice something but the fall still registers, but with Dax wanting to be sportsmanlike, he urges the match to be restarted.
Stephon is persuaded and makes the call, with the match being restarted with Dax and Kyle in the ring together, one man able to stand and another nursing a neck that was just compressed to shit. The second the bell rings, Dax tosses Kyle-O into the ringpost-o, shoulder first. Maybe my argument of "being sportsmanlike" is about to go out the window. On the apron now, Kyle fends Dax off as he tries to dribble his face off the top turnbuckle, pulling Dax in instead as he stumbles back and tags Cash in, his partner running across the apron and clubbing Kyle in the back.
With Kyle's lower half outside the ropes and his torso inside the ring, Cash wraps his arm across the top rope and pins Kyle against the top buckle, crushing him with uppercuts and chops as O'Reilly stands limp. With referee Smith pulling Cash out of the corner, Dax lariats Kyle in the back of the neck as he slips out of the ropes back to the apron, sending him up and over the top rope and crashing into the ring. Cash is quick to slide in for the cover, cleverly grabbing the far leg of Kyle so he can't get his foot on the rope again.
At this point, Kyle is completely isolated in the ring as FTR go to work. Frequent tags and strikes laser focused on the neck assault O'Reilly as he stumbles around the ring with concrete-heavy feet. A slingshot suplex from Dax nearly pulls Strong in the ring to break the pin, but Kyle survives. There's an urge for partners to always break up pins, especially if you're in a WWE2K match, but the trust it takes to let your partner get out of a pin or hold really helps elevate both your partner, as well as the overall story of the match. It's something subtle, but I like how really proficient tag teams don't abuse break-up spots.
Kyle shows signs of life as he reverses a double team attempt from FTR, switching spots with Cash as he tries to drive him face first into the knee of Dax. Dax tags back in and slides to the middle, cutting Kyle off with a dropkick to the head before he can even make it out of hostile territory. With Dax trying to sap the life out of Kyle with a chinlock, he starts to fight to his feet and eventually breaks free with a jawbreaker, crawling as Cash is tagged in and drifts around to get in between the UK. Pushing Kyle back to FTR's corner, he takes his eyes off his target for a second to shout at Roddy before taking off for his corner, launching himself and landing crotch first on the middle turnbuckle.

A tag as hot as ever. AEW |
Dax tags in and tries for the piledriver again but Kyle deadweights him and drops down to his knees, crawling under the Axe Man and making the tag to Roddy as the crowd explodes! Strong is a house of fire, taking it to both Cash and Dax with blistering speed and efficiency, splitting Cash in half with a backbreaker and sniping Dax with a dropkick off a rebound. Cracking Dax with a knee strike and a forearm on the ropes, he pulls him in and rips him up for what starts as a back suplex, instead dropping Dax front first on the canvas and snatching him up for a pinfall, only scoring two in the centre of the ring.
The energy in this match has changes now that Strong is in, a fresh body completely changes how FTR has to act, with Dax going on the defensive to try and wear the much fresher Strong down. Cash gets in the ring as Strong has Dax in a firemans carry, breaking the hold only to get an Olympic Slam for his troubles, with Dax getting on a few short seconds later. Just to be fair to both men, y'know?
With Dax alone and sent to UK's corner, O'Reilly and Strong show they haven't lot a step as a team despite not teaming together in years. A volley of kicks, knees, and a combination forearm/knee strike to the head drops Dax like a shot, with Cash able to slip in the ring and dive to break the hold. Roddy gets dumped out by Cash, with O'Reilly snatching the leg of Cash as he turns to face him, applying an ankle lock as Cash taps out! If he were the legal man, we could call the match here, but he's not! Dax tries to roll through and pin Kyle, but when he kicks out, he collides with Cash and sends him to the floor! Chaos!
Kyle gets another ankle lock applied, this time on Dax after kicks out of a pin attempt. He's able to kick his way out, shoving Kyle towards Cash on the outside as he eats a european uppercut. Wit Kyle dazed, Dax sets him up for another spike piledriver as Cash climbs to the top, looking to drill Kyle through the ring. Cash comes off the top and there's a bit of a miscommunication. Roddy seems to be a step behind as he gets in the ring to seemingly save Kyle but Dax has to drop Kyle as Cash lands on his feet and stands there for a second until Roddy makes his way over and sends Cash to the floor. It's a small moment and doesn't take away from the overall match.
Despite all that, they're still able to get the double team off, driving Kyle through the ring as Cash falls forward for the pin but Roddy is in and crashes into the pin to break it. With Roddy sent back to the floor, Cash positions Kyle on the top rope and tags Dax in, making way to a neutral corner and climbing high. Dax starts hooking Kyle up for the superplex but Strong grabs the foot of Kyle to ground him. Strong gets on the apron and knocks Dax down, but Cash is in quick to faceplant Strong on the apron and return to his corner, perching high above the ring.

Not to be confused with Sour and Gory. AEW |
With Strong on the floor, Dax rips Kyle off the top and slams him with a superplex. Power. With their victim flat out in the ring, Cash takes flight and crushes O'Reilly beneath him. Glory. What a stunning move Power and Glory is, I'm so happy FTR have incorporated it into their matches. Dax might be the best guy doing a suplerplex today and Cash taking flight is a sight to see. Unfortunately, it's only enough for a two count, with Kyle-O somehow able to get his shoulder up. Cash is indignant, but accepts the call, positioning himself behind Dax as they lie in wait for Kyle to turn into the Shatter Machine (I still call it the Big Rig from time to time. Miss you Brodie).
Dax gets Kyle up and Cash prepares for the double knees, but Strong gets in and drives Dax with a sudden knee strike, with Kyle able to land on his feet and roll Cash through as he lands flat on his back. It's sudden, but effective, as Kyle shoves Cash back to his feet as Roddy rebounds off the ropes, the high/low combination, sometimes referred to as Total Elimination, cuts Cash in two as Kyle folds him up for the three!

Eliminated? Totally. AEW |
Look, I knew I liked this match, it's why I picked it, but man, watching it for this review made me realize that I really, really liked this match! Big surprise, right? Two of the best teams on God's green, with FTR being my favourite tag team. Period. How can this be bad? It was a TV match so they didn't go totally hog wild and, honestly, they left a lot of meat still on the bone here. FTR turned down a handshake after the bell teasing either some heel tendencies or that they aren't satisfied with losing this way. Either way, I think there's plenty of rom for a rematch somewhere down the line that is gonna be fucking spectacular. Remember these words. 5 stars is on its way for FTR vs. Undisputed Kindgom part dos.
Alex Windsor vs. Dani Luna - Dog Collar Match - RevPro Revolution Rumble 2024 - 03/31/2024
![]() |
Bound by steel. RevPro |
After reviewing Dani Luna's DPW match against Miyuki Takase last week, I remembered I'd made a not of this match of hers a while back. When I saw her stuff in TNA, I was digging around in CAGEMATCH to see what else she's been up to and this match was apparently her very best! I'm always a sucker for Dog Collar matches and decided I'd see what else she was about while she's on my mind. I don't like making a habit of reviewing people back-to-back or even too close together, I try and share the love as much as I can, but this match really stood out to me so I had to give it some time this week.
It's a RevPro Undisputed British Women's Title Dog Collar match between these two, with Windsor looking to prove that Dani Luna can, in fact, be killed, despite what her merchandise may have you believe. They're linked together by the neck with the chain in what is the very first, and to this point, only Dog Collar match in the history of RevPro, and they're testing the limits of the chain after the bell rings. They pull at each other using their necks alone until grabbing the chain and slowly pulling each other in, with Windsor scoring the first strike with the chain, whipping Luna in the arm as she reels back to her corner.
They pull each other back together again, with Windsor winding up for another chain shot but Luna ducks underneath, dropping Windsor with rapid fire forearm shots under the jaw. Windsor rolls to the floor but Luna grabs the chain and keeps her from getting any real distance from the ring, pulling her back into the ring and running through her with a shoulder tackle. Some may consider the Dog Collar to be a real limiting factor in a match like this, and while you may be right, it can also be used to the advantage of an attacker. Proving my point perfectly, Luna modifies a corner biel by grabbing Windsor by the collar and heaving her to the centre of the ring.
Standing on the middle rope and pulling a seated Luna up to her feet in the corner, Luna drives rapid punches into the head of Windsor, reaching 9 until she stops for the 10th shot. Grabbing the chain, she wraps her fist and lines up Windsor's head beneath her, but Windsor slips free and pulls Luna by the chain, driving her face first into the top turnbuckle. With Luna dazed, it's Windsor's turn to load the fist with the chain, cracking Luna in the head as she rises to her feet.
The shot was enough to bust Luna open and Windsor locks onto the wound, grinding the chain into her face and throwing her head first to the top turnbuckle again. Luna is uneasy on her feet as she leaks plasma, and Windsor shoves her to the floor as she drops near the corner. With Luna on one side of the ring, Windsor rolls out on the side next to her, with the steel corner post in between them. Taking advantage of this clever positioning, Windsor pulls the chain and drives Luna into the corner post shoulder first. Luna starts to recover, but Windsor pulls her in again, punishing the champion against the steel.
Windsor goes for a third try but Luna gets a leg up and stops her progress. Widsor is able to keep pulling and force Luna's leg to slip off the post, and in doing so, she runs behind Luna and rolls in the ring, wrapping the chain around Luna. Now, Luna is completely trapped, tied by a chain with her back being pulled into the harsh corner of the ringpost, with Windsor pulling harder and harder on the chain, over and over.

A steel nightmare. RevPro |
Thankfully, Windsor releases Luna from her steel burrito, rolling back through the ring and returning to her side where she digs beneath the ring to retrieve a folding chair. Windsor winds up the chair but Luna comes alive, ripping at the chain and pulling Windsor forward, chair in hand. First, the chair collides with the post, and then, Windsor's head meets the steel chair, falling to the floor as Luna untangles herself from around the corner and retrieves the chair for her own heinous acts, starting off with a chairshot to the back of Windsor while she's on all fours.
Luna sets the chair up in the middle and sits Windsor down in it. How nice of her! What isn't so nice, however, is when Luna rebounds off the ropes to do something that I'm sure would have been super kind and respectful, Windsor shifts and pulls Luna face first* into the chair! (*you could see the hold ghost between her face and the chair, but it took nothing away from the match. Carry on!) Quickly pulling Luna in as Windsor gets to her feet, she side slams her across the seat of the chair, folding it back. Windsor goes for the first pinfall of the match, but Luna stays alive.
Positioning the chair between the middle and top rope, Windsor attempts to pull Luna by the neck into the wedged chair but Luna stops dead in her tracks, fighting back with stiff forearm shots but Windsor double leg's her to the canvas, trying for a submission hold but Luna kicks her back, waiting for Windsor to charge back in as she moves at the last possible second, redirecting Windsor to run into the chair head first.

The collar can't save you from this! RevPro |
With Windsor stunned, Luna comes alive with a running big boot and a pair of german suplexs to Windsor as she pulls herself to her feet, going for a pinfall attempt after an air raid crash but only scoring two. With Windsor crawling for the ropes for support, Luna is on her feet and booting her into the canvas, ripping and tearing at the defaced Dani Luna shirt she wore for this match. Windsor is able to avoid a boot to the side of the head from Luna and snatches her up for a big Olympic Slam, trying for a quick pin after driving her down hard but it's still not enough.
thinking outside the box, Windsor jumps over the top rope and then slides back in through the middle, wrapping the chain along the top strand. Acting quickly as Luna gets to her feet, she pulls the champion to the ropes and holds tight, crashing in with a pair of lariats as Luna is trapped against the ropes. Going for a third, Luna ducks the shot and gets behind Windsor, shoving her to the ropes as she rebounds out and catches herself with the chain with a literal clothesline!

This has been stuck in my head since I saw the match. RevPro |
Throwing Windsor through the middle and climbing over the top rope herself, Luna pulls Windsor in and stuffs her into the apron with a sit out piledriver, dropping her to the floor as Luna catches her breath against the middle rope. Now, Luna gets her revenge, wrapping her fist with the chain and delivering rapid fire shots to the head of Windsor, both women bleeding now.
Back in the ring, Luna uses the chain to trip up Windsor and flatten her with a seated lariat, trying for a pin but only getting a two count still. Hoping to put her opponent away, Luna sets Windsor up for the Luna Landing but Windsor fights out, whipping the chain like a cord stuck around a corner and catching Luna in the face. A quick wrap around the torso of Luna sets up for a side Russian leg sweep and a seated lariat for another pinfall attempt, but Luna survives.
Rolling to the floor with Luna still out in the middle Windsor brings in some sort of cage. It's flat, mind you, but when she returns to the ring with the Champion, she starts to unfold it and reveal it's a metal dog crate, with commentary pointing out it may be because Luna said she would "make Windsor her bitch." Seeing the structure before her, Luna scrambles to the feet of Windsor and grabs tight, trying to stop her onslaught so she can figure out her next move. It's no use, as Windsor pulls Luna's head to the opening of the dog crate and rams the door of it into the side of the head of Luna, dropkicking it for extra damage.
Pulling Luna to her feet by the chain as she climbs to the top rope, Windsor looks to have the match well in hand but she didn't factor one thing in, Dani Luna still fighting back. She stands before Windsor, stood above her on the middle rope, holding fast as Windsor keeps pulling at the chain in desperation. Dani marches in and eats right hands from Windsor, climbing to join her on the middle rope and stopping Windsor dead with a headbutt. With Windsor laid out on the top rope, Luna pulls her to a seated position with the chain and then onto her shoulders, running to the middle of the ring and dropping her with a huge air raid crash that just barely, and I mean barely misses the crate.

A rough landing, Luna. RevPro |

Actually, this is the rough landing. RevPro |
Scrambling to pull Windsor off the cage, Luna goes for another pinfall but it's still not enough! With both back on their feet, Luna and Windsor meet with a double clothesline, but Luna gets fired up from the impact. Luna starts raining down punches on Windsor but she avoids a strike by pulling Luna into the referee, knocking him down in the corner. Not like it matters, but Windsor acts quick and grabs the chair from between the middle and top rope, planting it in the middle of the ring as she hooks Luna's leg and drills her with a fisherman's buster on the chair! She goes for the pin but the referee is slow to recover, but still makes it for a count, with Luna kicking out!
Windsor is on her feet and capitalizes on Luna still being on the canvas, tying her up in the Sharpshooter as Luna leaks crimson from her wound. She tries to fight out, but Windsor grabs the chain and uses that to wrench back on the head of the champion, assaulting her from both ends. In what might be her last gasp as champion, Luna's head drops as the referee checks on her, with Luna coming alive after the second fist drop! She slips free and pulls Windsor down and around into a crossface, locking it in tight! Windsor starts to fight out, but Luna wraps the chain through the mouth of Windsor and pulls back again! Windsor holds on, rolling over to try and catch Luna in a pinfall but she kicks out just in time.
Sidestepping a charging Windsor and sending her over the top rope, Luna trips Windsor and hangs her by the chain. With unreal strength, Luna stands on the middle rope and pulls Windsor up by the chain, hoisting her up and back with a huge german suplex from the apron to the ring! Wasting no time, Luna pulls Windsor onto her shoulders and plants her with a Luna Landing, holding on tight as the referee counts three.

The Luna has landed. RevPro |
This was a really brutal match. I had to sit on this one for a bit before finally deciding on the score. I was sitting at a four for a while, but I kept running the literal clothesline with the chain, the dog crate suplex, the hardset shots in this match over and over again in my head and had to give it the full five. I can understand that come of you may not agree, and that's fine, but man, this match ruled. Luna is fully on my radar at this point and I may need to look into Alex Windsor a bit more, she was really good here. I also liked RevPro's camera work, some high quality, dynamic angles during the match that made it highly memorable. Seek this one out!
That does it for another week! Really looking forward to Revolution this weekend and will probably end up reviewing one of the matches from the show. I can feel it in my bones, this is gonna be an amazing show. As always, send whatever ya want to cliffmorganwstl@gmail.com Always down for something new to watch.
Until next week friends, take it easy.
