Greetings, dear reader!
If you've somehow found your way to my blog, welcome! I've been a fan of wrestling for years and years now and decided I needed an outlet to share some of my thoughts with the world. Not like they really matter all that much but hey, if I'm gonna spend all this time thinking about wrestling, I may as well put those thoughts to good use!
I wanted to start my blog off with a little breakdown of how I plan on using it. The types of posts you'll see and what it all about. I don't want to post the same stuff every other wrestling website on the internet does. I want to stand out a little bit, really make this website my own. How will I do that, you may ask yourself? Well, let me tell you how.
Weekly Watchlist
The Weekly Watchlist will cover matches I've watched that week with a brief write up going over things I liked and didn't like. Y'know, a review. The difference with the Weekly Watchlist is the matches can be from whenever, wherever, and they don't necessarily need to have taken place that week. Ideally, it will come out every saturday.
I have a huge spreadsheet of wrestling matches (sitting at about 550 entries right now) and I've only watched a portion of the ones on it. I'm constantly adding matches and full shows to the spreadsheet so I have a quick and easy way to find stuff I know will be good and want to watch. If I decide that I want to watch, say, Kenta Kobashi v Masahiro Chono from NJPW Ultimate Crush, May 2nd 2003, I'll watch it! If it ends up being a good match or something worth talking about, I'll give it a little writeup too. Or, if there ends up being a decent match on RAW or Collision that week and I end up watching it, you'll probably get to hear my take on that too!
The Weekly Watchlist is just a way for me to talk about stuff I've watched in a week. Anytime, any company, anywhere. Some might even make it to my Matches of the Month, a section in the sidebar of the blog I'll keep up to date as the weeks go by. I might even decide to do a monthly recap of the matches I liked the best.
Deepdive Rewind
As I mentioned before, I've got a big back catalogue of matches I either have watched or know I want to watch. Sometimes though, its fun to go back and watch a match you haven't seen in a while or want to see how well its aged since your first viewing. The Deepdive Rewind allows me to go over a match, or even a show, I've already viewed (at least) once before. I could just lump these matches in with the Weekly Watchlist, but wheres the fun in that? Gotta have some variety!

As it stands, that's all I really have planned for this blog that are concrete staples. I have a few ideas rolling around for if I want to cover current news and give my thoughts on whats going on. If I end up getting a lot of replies in comments or emails about matches or shows, I might start making mailbag posts and reply to people. I'll probably make special posts too for when I go to a live wrestling show (got one planned for next month!). But for right now, it's pretty bare bones.
If ya like what ya see, bookmark this blog and check in weekly for the watchlist. I might have a small one made up for what I've watched this week. Next week we'll get into the real swing of things.
Until next time,
Cliff Morgan
